An Ant Hill Out Of A Molehill
A time when I had a responsibility that I did not think I could handle was when I was told to watch my little brother for a hour to an hour and half. We are only three years apart and I was no older then twelve at the time. Which made him nine and no nine year old likes to listen, well at least he did not. Also since I am not to tall and neither is he, but in his mind he is, he believed he should be in charge. What he did not understand is when your put in charge of someone else what they do becomes your fault also. What he really just wanted is to have the ability to tell me what to do. Since he is so rambunctious some times I did not believe I could handle him on my own. But in the end it was not as bad as I first imagined. We got along that day perfectly well and he did every thing I instructed him to do. Which was a success since our parents did not come home to the house burnt down. If I am being honest I would have to say I really enjoyed watching him; we had a lot of fun. I do not regret being giving this responsibility even though at first it seemed like to much.

Forgot...Wait...No!
I just arrived in New Jersey at my vacation destination when I realize I have forgot something very important. I look into my passenger seat not seeing my Kindle in it and admittedly start to freak out. I search every where in my car coming up empty handed. Even though I am all the way in New Jersey I contemplate whither or not if I was going to turn around and make the eight hour and forty-six minuet drive back home just to get it. I mean my kindle is so worth going five hundred and fifty-one point five miles and spending eighty-four dollars and fifty-seven cents, isn't it? Plus how would I survive a whole week with out it? Yeah I know I would not, I would be enraged with boredom or even suffering from withdrawal. Just thinking about spending this whole week, seven days, one hundred and sixty-eight hours, ten thousand and eighty minuets, six hundred and four thousand and eight hundred seconds, terrified me to death. Unconscionably a million of irrational scenarios swarmed threw my head. Like what if I never get back to Ohio because a tornado wipes it off the map, or what if the world ends, or even what if some one breaks into my house and steals it. During this whole little freak out of mine I did not notice I was angrily hitting my horn disturbing the neighbors. I look threw my windshield seeing the neighbor to the left of my house staring at me like I have lost my mind. I sigh deeply before getting out of my car and waving to the petrified neighbor. She made a funny face and then walked back into her house. I quietly laughed to my self while getting my things and walking to the door. This has to be some bad dream right? I just could not believe I forgot my Kindle, it is like my right hand I take it every where. Walking around my vacation home I promise my self to make it to the library to buy a new book satisfying my displeasure, well at least until I finish the book.

Hidden Savior
One warm summer day in San Antonio, Texas Ally and Sam sat around bored. Ally was stuck baby sitting here little brother Joseph when Sam arrived. They sat on the couch enjoying the cool air floating from the air conditioner when the phone began to ring.
"Hello?" Ally says picking up her phone.
"There is a concert down in Leon Valley tonight I will meet you down there" the caller said not bothering with a greeting. Ally jumped up and down with excitement as Joesph ran into the room.
"Oh wait, I can not go I am babysitting" she says saddened and partly angry she agreed to watch him.
"Bring him"
"I cannot he is only five" she reminded them staring off into the distance.
"So what he will have fun, I will see you down there" they retorted hanging up before Ally could say another word.
"What was that about?" Sam asks as Ally sits back down wiping her hand across her sweating forehead.
"There is a concert down in Leon Valley" She tells her while fanning her self, the air conditioner not doing anything to help with the heat anymore. She moaned and groaned displeased not only about the murky heat but with the thought that she could not go to the concert.
"Lets go then" Sam tells her jumping up ready to make the half an hour drive.
"What about Joesph?" Ally ask just as he comes running towards her jumping on her lap.
"Yeah what about me?" He says with a cute cheeky smile. Both girls giggle at him momentarily forgetting about the crisis at hand. His little distraction did not last long though both girls sighing in vexation.
"We have to go Ally" Sam whines pacing back and forth.
"I know wait I will just call my parents" Ally says while pulling her phone out at the speed of light.
Just as she was losing hope that they will not pick up the phone, but on the seventh ring they finally answer.
"Hello honey is something wrong?" Her mother asks with a hint of worry to her voice.
"Nothing bad mom but do you think you could come home early I want to go out with Sam?" Ally explains crossing her fingers hoping she will say the magic words.
"Oh I am sorry darling but we will not make it home till early tomorrow morning" Her mom says not really sounding sorry. Ally is ready to scream as she mutters a goodbye anger seeping with in her.
"They will not be home until tomorrow" Ally tells Sam who stomps in frustration. They begin to pace thinking hard for other options before time closed in on them.
"Aunt Karen" Ally says eyes shinning brightly filled with hope. Sam nods her head as if the idea was a brilliant one. She quickly dials her number only to met the voice recording. Thinking it was a mistake she decided to call again and again. On the fifth try she decided to give up on Aunt Karen being a possible savior.
"How about the normal babysitter?" Sam suggests irritated that a simple little five year old stands in there way of going to see a concert live.
"Shes out of town that is why I offered to babysit" Ally tells her hanging her head not liking the odds at hand.
"I got a brilliant idea, Joseph" Sam calls clapping her hands in anticipation. Joesph skips into the room action figure in one hand a juice box in the other.
"Yes?" He asks sipping away at his juice box.
"Where going to play a game" She tells him with a big smile hope coursing threw her body.
"Yay!" He screams not even bothering to ask what game. Ally shoots Sam a confused look as she follows her down the hall towards Joesph's room.
"Okay little Joey the game is simple. All you have to do is lay in your bed close your eyes and fall to sleep" Sam explains as Joesph climbs into his bed with a confused look.
"No fun I do not want to play" He whines crossing his little arms pouting.
"Oh but if you fall a sleep you win" She says baiting him. His eyes grow twice there normal size as he looks up at her.
"Whats the prize?" He asks laying back on his bed.
"Um...A whole box of cookies" She says he quickly shuts his eyes desperate to win.
Sam and Ally tip toe out the room walking back out to the living room.
"Now we can leave he will stay asleep" Sam declared reaching for her keys.
"We can not leave him" Ally cries out in horror shocked Sam would even suggest that.
"Then lets take him with us" She says narrowing her eyes not understanding why they can not just leave him. "Fine" Ally agrees rushing off to get him out of bed. They quickly run to Sams car with time just not playing in there favor. Sam pulls out fast peeling down the road.
"Slow down" Ally says while rolling down the window to let the man made air cool her off.
"I can not or we will not make it. Don't it start at eight?" Sam asks stopping at a red light.
'Yes" Ally says watching as the light slowly changes, Joesph sitting quiet in the back.
"Well it is seven thirty-five" Sam announces slightly stepping on the gas a bit more. They zip threw town making it to Leon Valley in record time. They rush Joesph out the car and to the ticket booth only to find a sold out sign.
"What now?" Ally asks looking around just over the distance they could see flashing lights.
"We go back home I guess" Sam says disappointment laced in her voice.
"Look" Joesph says pointing to the big hill that over looks the concert. Sam and Ally jump up in joy as all three of them run towards the hill. It takes them a bit to climb up the whole thing with all the falling and laughing. So in the end they got to enjoy the concert from a distance and what seemed like a unfixable situation turned out to be a good night. All with the help of Ally's little brother who was the problem in the beginning but the savior in the end.
